Fee structure

I provide a statement of work with project fees ahead of project initiation. Although other grant writing services often advertise contingency-based fee structures, I a project fee for the following reasons:

Funders discourage contingency fees and seldom allow a grant writer’s fee to be included in a project budget.
Contingency fees reduce financial resources for startups pursuing the awarded project.
While many hours can go into developing a competitive proposal, funding decisions are beyond the control of grant writers.

Both grants and non-grant consulting work are quoted with a firm and fair up-front rate.

Rates

I offer flexible hourly or project-based rates to support your company's desired level of engagement. This can look like:

a la carte hourly engagement
defined scope proposal review and critical feedback
short-term project execution
long-term project management and ongoing support

Timelines

I work startup hours, and do my best to accommodate clients' schedules and project deadlines, including quick turnaround work.

What to expect

I've been part of the startup scene since earning my PhD, and know the value of your time. My goal is to help make your job easier by providing top-notch writing, insights, and recommendations to move you toward your goals as quickly as possible.

No two projects are alike, but my project management process is well-defined and communication is a priority so you'll know what to expect every step of the way.

Workflow

Client requests introductory meeting.
Client informs on project, timelines, and expectations, and I share capabilities, limitations, and expected outcomes.
I provide a statement of work (SOW) outlining deliverables and timelines.
After receiving a signed SOW, I begin work on your project!
1. I'm available for calls, video conferencing, and via email for the duration of your project.
2. A secure shared cloud storage location allows for real-time updates on progress with your team.
Short-term projects are invoiced following completion and multi-month projects are invoiced monthly.
